FED: Fischer plays down talk of Qld split

MT ISA, Qld, Jan 14 AAP - Federal National Party Leader Tim Fischer received a rebuke from
one of his backbenchers today as he tried to hose down a possible split between the Queensland
National Party and their federal counterparts.

Mr Fischer, In Mt Isa as part of his four-day tour of Outback Australia, said the party's
record at the October federal election spoke for itself as it answered the challenge from
Pauline Hanson's One Nation.
